Can you take lead on creating financial transparency, driving change and at the same time being a Trusted Partner to our commercial VP and commercial management team in Germany? If so, you might be our new Finance Business Partner working out of Germany (Rudersberg).
About the position:
As Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will be a trusted member of the Commercial Leadership Team in Germany and will have first-hand insight into both strategic and tactical topics.
You will be responsible for setting the financial direction for Commercial Germany and for providing financial insights that drive sound business decisions. Together with the business management team, you will co-drive the commercial agenda in Germany and support the delivery of both financial and non-financial targets.
You will report to the Head of Commercial Finance and join a global team of Commercial Finance Business Partners and Controllers.
Key responsibilities:
You will be responsible for Commercial Business Finance activities within the German market, including:
- Acting as the main financial sparring partner for the VP and the management team in Commercial Germany
- Play a key role in the monthly performance management cycle, including preparing and driving monthly performance reviews with the commercial management team
- Leading the financial planning process, including budgeting and forecasting, and aligning closely with the business to secure ambitious yet realistic targets.
- Providing actionable financial insights and data to support well-founded business decisions
- Support the commercial teams with business cases on new initiatives (campaigns, products, customers, channels) and follow up on realised impact.
- Creating impact by identifying risks and opportunities in the business and supporting mitigation or realization
- Building strong cross-functional relationships with group functions (FR&C, FP&A and S&OP) and local operations to ensure alignment and “one set of numbers”
- Supporting the continued professionalization and development of the finance function
Your background:
We’re looking for a finance professional with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for business partnering.
Moreover, we imagine that you have:
- A degree in economics and min 5 years of relevant experience in Finance
- Fluency in German and strong English skills are required, as you will work with both local stakeholders and Group functions.
- A solid understanding of financial principles and performance management
- Experience in business partnering
- Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills
- You are not afraid to challenge the status quo and bring fact-based recommendations to the table.
- You are hands-on and willing to dive into details when needed, while keeping the bigger commercial picture in mind
